Pathetic News Flash

If your arm is sore after 1 hour of playing Wii games, then you are so out of shape the angels weep for you.

Yes yes, my dear C man bought me a Wii for my birthday! It is so cool! He couldn't wait to give it to me on my actual birthday, and kept asking me, "you want your present now?? I think you're gonna want it now!" I must say that the fact that Wii can make even tennis fun is a testament to its success! So much hilarity.

This weekend was pretty.......depressing. Chris's dad came down, and it was Rachel's birthday yesterday. Things are awkward, to say the least, between she and I, understandably making meeting up with her awkward beyond belief.

And we met up twice. The second time was much worse than the first as there seemed to be a black cloud hovering over Rachel's head. She may have been angry because I woke up an hour later than I had planned. However if that's why, she may need to take into consideration the fact that we had no specific time arranged nor place. So...? On top of that, I didn'ty get the chance to see the Yarraville markets, which I really wanted to see as it's only once a month and I am planning on applying for a booth there in December.

We went to Chapel st. and walked around a bit. Noone seemed to want to do anything in particular, so chris suggested JB Hi Fi, since we wanted to go to get some more controllers for the Wii. They spent nearly the entire time outside, smoking. Chris' dad suggested we watch a movie before we have lunch, but they didn't even want to look because there was no time. Though there was, depending upon which movie, what time it started, etc. So we went to the arcade. Splitting into two groups, rachel and her boyfriend and I with chris and their dad. As if I'm gonna stand around with Rachel, she's got nothing to say to me of any interest. When I make eye contact with her, she does with me but briefly and there is nothing there.

As they were playing, there's not much a third wheel can do but watch, and that gets tired fast. So I went to Border's to escape the tension, which was a huge huge relief. That time seemed to pass so quickly, and soon we were all together again.

I decided it would be nice to get rachel a little dessert with a candle at lunch. So I conspired with the server, and she even brought over a balloon. Rachel asked dean if he was the one who arranged it, but he said, no I would never do that to someone, as if I were locking her into an iron maiden. LOL. So time came for the brownie, and she sure seemed highly enthused. I kept telling her, what's wrong, it's pretty! Cause there was a beautiful sparkler on top (oh my gosh...I need to buy some of those just to watch them....it's like they shoot off stars!). On top of that, it was very NON attention grabbing, hardly anyone noticed, and we sang very quietly.

Anyhow, after we drove their dad to the airport, we dropped rachel and dean off, and went home, where we proceeded to celebrate the fact that all that tension was done with, for now.

Sometimes I do wish that things were ok between us. But then I remember the attitude she copped with me when she visited once and said some things that were so none of her business and out of her place to say to me, and shocking. Chris explained that she's self-serving nearly all of the time, so that's just how she is...she's used to being treated like she's top dog. I don't want to waste my time worrying about someone with a black heart.

Anyhow. As promised.... a lovely picture for my dearest best friend, Veezer!! <3

  4. Chris, is your shoulderblade acting up because of guitar? or are you still dislocating it all the time? The Wii made both of my shoulderblades sore (how both, I'm not sure.) so that's probably just it :)
